“Solitude was a treasure of the past few years, and a deep quiet place of healing and solace in an unsteady world,” says Ajeet on her hotly released album, Let It Breathe. True to word, Let It Breathe is a mind-floating effort in which Ajeet’s deeply contemplative soundscapes are brought to life with whispered vocals and haunting instrumentals. As Ajeet gently ushers us to take a step back from the fast-paced nature of the world, each track further immerses us into emotive stories that centre around embracing sadness and reflecting on emotions and letting go. At once soothing and painstakingly intimate, each track on Let It Breathe feels akin to a conversation with a close friend in times of darkness — gently pulling us into the light.

In her own words, Ajeet explains, “Let It Breathe is an album born of a liminal time… the space between breaths when it feels like sand passing through my fingers each time I grasp for solid ground. But in that openness, I found such beauty, such space to reimagine and reinvent, especially in these sounds and stories that make up my latest album. These songs are imbued with what feels like a number of lives. As the wheel keeps turning, my eyes adjust and I see and feel the world differently. Delicate strings of subtle feeling and layers of intimate, soft vocals give way to waves of cathartic joy and rising synths. My intention with this project was to reach for all the sonic texture I could, to broaden my palette, and do my best as a musician to capture the darks and lights of my human heart. This body of songs speaks to the many colours of change, letting go, and allowing the world to come back into focus anew… again, again, and again.”
